La Fosse Associates are pleased to partner with a high-growth, UK-based industrial automation company bringing AI to some of the largest industries in the world.

The company are looking to bring on an experienced Data Scientist to help build the machine learning algorithms for optimisation, anomaly detection, and regression, all of which will be scaling up across many factories globally. You will fine-tune these entire processes and the control of equipment in real-time.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally-leading ML team within a forward-thinking company working to develop innovative AI solutions for the predictive maintenance and optimisation of industrial processes across the globe.

The company provides an Industrial AI software platform to help factories eliminate waste, downtime, increase yield of manufacturing and decrease environmental impact of factories. The core technology is a time series processor which allows efficient processing and analysis of signals from industrial sensors and other sources. It helps to better monitor and perform optimisation of industrial processes.

What you will do:

  • Develop innovative machine learning algorithms for time series analysis, generated by the industrial process

  • Analyse algorithm performance bottlenecks and propose solutions for improvement and optimization

  • Prepare new algorithms for deployment and support deployment to production

  • Monitor algorithms metrics, statistics and performance

  • Work in a team and collaborate with other colleagues to contribute into a common knowledge base

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables

Requirements:

  • BA/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Physics, Math or similar

  • Excellent coding skills in Python

  • Strong mathematical background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning

  • Over 3 years of work experience in Machine Learning

  • Understand the principles of computer science algorithms and data structures, familiar with mathematical computing, including but not limited to statistical models, linear algebra, machine learning, and deep learning

  • Solid understanding of anomaly detection and signals processing and analysis

  • Practical knowledge of ML/DL frameworks (Scikit, PyData stack, Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc.)

  • Familiar with concurrent programming

  • Ability to postulate and verify research hypotheses, explain and present results

Nice to have:

  • Experience in time series analysis

  • Experience in data science for industrial fields

  • Experience in reinforcement learning

What they offer:

  • Opportunity to work with a globally-leading machine learning team - and part of a high-growth UK Data Science team

  • Opportunity to impact on the most basic and the largest industry in the world

  • Write scientific papers and participate in thematic conferences
