Senior Business Analyst - 9 Month FTC
La Fosse Associates are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a global financial services company on a 9-month fixed term contract (FTC).
The Business Analyst will be joining the second phase of the Investment Firm Prudential Regime (IFPR) , the ICARA (Internal capital adequacy and risk assessment) Process.
The role requires a Business Analyst with Regulatory Change experience within Investment organisations. Specifically a candidate rule interpretation experience.
This is a hybrid role with 2/3 days per week, expected in the London office.
Main purpose of the role:
- Review the FCA and EBA prudential rules for investment firms to ensure requirements are up to date.
- Assist with the refinement of pillar 2 framework as the firm transitions from legacy pillar 2 rules to the ICARA Process for UK & EU Entities
- Assist with the enhancement of Pillar 1 (K-Factor) calculation engine through a combination of data analysis, requirements gathering and testing
Key responsibilities:
- Interpret regulatory text to document traceability matrices.
- Review existing capital & liquidity adequacy frameworks to highlight gaps.
- Document requirements to close the gaps.
- Work closely with Treasury & Risk to ensure new rules are embedded and existing processes are updated.
- Assist with liquidity & capital adequacy stress testing & scenario analysis workshops.
- Assist with the articulation of legacy CRR risk metrics into the new Harms to Firm, Market & Clients terminology.
- Assist with the documentation of update ICAAP, ILAA, Wind-down & Recovery Planning documents for both UK and EU entities.
- Assist with the enhancement of Pillar 1 (K-Factor) calculation engine through a combination of data analysis, requirements gathering and testing
- Work with technical teams to validate proposed solutions.
- Effectively presenting the information needed to facilitate decision making.
- Test preparation, planning and execution.
- Data analysis and presentation using Excel & PowerPoint.
- Document post implementation control requirements, policies and procedures.
Skills / experience required:
- 8 + Years experience in Business Analyst capacity with evidence of successful change delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree with 2.1 (minimum).
- Proven experience of leading workshops with senior management and influencing decision making.
- Prior experience of working in regulatory change such as MiFID II, SFTR required.
- Prior experience of working in IFPR and CRR is preferred but not essential.
- Prior experience of working on ICAAP and ILAA is preferred but not essential.
- Analytical mind set with ability to define target operating models.
- Ability to consume diverse information sets & produce succinct presentations.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- General business analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Solid knowledge of brokerage and/or investment banking processes - front to back.
- Track record working on major projects especially projects delivered in an investment bank or similar institution
