Role: Senior Business Analyst - Digital

Rate: £430 inside IR35

Duration: 3 Months

Location: Canary Wharf (fully remote until return to office plan has been confirmed)

Start Date: ASAP

Our London based banking client is currently looking for Senior Business Analyst to join them on an initial 3 month contract. They are happy for the candidate to work remotely until Covid restrictions are lifted. The team is seeking an analyst who will improve the client and staff experience by providing a Digital, automated, centralised service to enable self-service, throughout the client lifecycle. This role is part of the Customer and Staff Channel domain which is part of the Digital Delivery Factory delivery area.

The successful candidate must be comfortable with stakeholder management, possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Product owner, JIRA and Confluence experience is desirable for this role.

Role Overview
*. This role is to act as a BA in support of the Product Owner for a Pod. Responsibilities include:
* Representing the Product owner as required in requirements gathering workshops or customer journey definition sessions
* Build up SME knowledge of the Product Owner's feature within the Customer and Staff Channel
* Support the Product Owner for delivery of agreed pod deliverables for a given customer journey, solution or use case
* Work closely with a range of stakeholders: business, journey / transformation teams, Customer and Staff developers and other IT groups, adoption and business readiness teams
* Translate Business requirements into 'bite size' user stories for developers in the pod to complete
* Support prioritization of the Pod's day to day backlog
* Facilitate ad-hoc discussions to resolve issues or discussion points relating to Pod deliverables, documenting outcomes as necessary
* Support maintenance of the Pod's Jira and Confluence sites, including user stories and Kanban boards
* Provide updates in daily scrum calls

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • Comfortable with Agile ways of working, Customer and Staff channel focuses on adding value to the business at pace with an iterative approach
    * Experience of requirements gathering and documentation
    * Excellent inter-personal skills and analytical skills
    * Ability to 'own' a piece work through to completion
    * Comfortable to work within a team, but also alone where required
    * Ability to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural diverse work environments
    * Resourceful - ability to leverage resources globally available to achieve goals
    * Strong relationship management and program / change / project management skills
    * Ability to co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders, and get necessary decisions taken within desired timelines
    * Familiar with Jira and Confluence or similar tools
