Position: Senior Application Support & Change Manager

Location: London

Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 (plus bonus & benefits)

I'm currently working with a Leading Challenger Bank, who is actively seeking a Senior Application Support & Change Manager.

The Senior Application Support & Change Manager is responsible for building, coaching, developing, supporting and leading their teams to deliver across the following two workstreams:

  • Applications Support and Incident Management - End-to-end support to business users and key stakeholders, with a particular focus on the core business applications operated by the Bank (primarily DPR for Savings and Lending but across other Bank systems too), acting as the coordination point for application-related incidents and issues. This team will also perform a number of daily, regular Operations tasks as part of our "Run-the-bank" regular routines, procedures and "run-books", including e.g. Product changes, daily checks on MI production.

  • Change Implementation - Lead on fixes/small changes and act as the gatekeeper for all change to core banking systems (usually 3rd party hosted and 3rd party software), providing governance, prioritisation, analysis, joint internal and 3rd party delivery & release planning/scheduling, release management and implementation, and post-implementation support through warranty.

Experience required:

  • A true Leader - demonstrable experience in growing and developing teams
  • Solid experience in similar roles, or demonstrable development towards this level
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile practices
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes - including Incident, Problem, and Change
  • Understanding of core bank business processes beneficial (eg Savings, Lending).
  • Knowledge of DPR and other core banking platforms is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of payments and financial systems is beneficial.
  • Third-party vendor/supplier management
