Senior Analyst - Financial Crime

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

La Fosse Associates are working closely with a Lloyds Market Insurer who is seeking a Senior Analyst for their Financial Crime Programme.

Core aspects of the Role:

  • This role will be fundamental to supporting a key strategic project for our Insurance Client, with Exec-level sponsorship
  • Work with teams across the business (Finance, Risk &Compliance, Operations, HR and IT), the role will support the delivery of the Management Information and data plan, as it relates to financial crime risk and compliance
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to current tactical data solutions, improving the accuracy and completeness of information reporting and assisting the business in defining its financial crime data model.
  • Support the identification and delivery of strategic, system-based and automated solutions to fill remaining data gaps required to deliver the MI and data plans.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, understand requirements, identify and document solutions and co-ordinate with data forums to prioritise change required
  • Drive the production of Management Information packs and Business Intelligence output from enterprise level finance and business systems
  • Support the testing and deployment of this new reporting, including process re-engineering

Technical skills and knowledge:

  • Strong/advanced Excel skills
  • Statistical knowledge and analysis
  • SQL/Python coding and scripting skills
  • Experience working with data warehouse and accounting systems
  • Ability to capture data requirement and prototype/ document proposed tactical and strategic solutions to fill data gaps
  • Experience in BA/partnering role, with exposure to Risk and Compliance
  • Financial Services/Professional services exposure desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience of working with and utilising Business intelligence tools
