SCRUM MASTER - MANCHESTER

My client based in Manchester are looking to hire a Scrum Master on a permanent basis. My client is a market leader in their field and a well-established business.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced agile professional to join the IT department to support business growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate teams and work closely with Developers and Testers to estimated and plan sprints across multiple teams on regular intervals
  • Work with the product owner to ensure correct priorities are delivered to deadlines.
  • Use Agile and Lean principles throughout the whole project lifecycle to deploy software solutions
  • Prioritise and escalate to Head of Tech function
  • Identify goals, plan work, and lead teams through to delivery
  • Manage risks and issues as and when they arise
  • Estimate and work with other managers to plan delivery
  • Facilitate daily sprint sessions
  • Follow the development of the project at each stage and communicate the results

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong influential skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing projects following Agile and Lean delivery methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant industry experience
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility to work on several different projects concurrently
  • Strong experience of working extensively with Scrum and Agile
  • Experience of JIRA
  • Cross-Functional team experience
  • Experience of working within the retail industry would be desirable but not essential
  • To be able to delegate work tasks and document the state of the work
  • To prioritise and execute work tasks in a busy work environment
  • Experience of working with remote teams
  • Delivery focused Scrum Master
