A QA manager with Automation, Shift Left, DevOps / CICD, API and Microservices experience is needed to implement a new testing strategy and lead a QA team based in Central London.

As a QA manager you will be expected to champion quality driven delivery for the programme and identify, implement and enforce quality processes throughout the delivery lifecycle.You will need to prepare and contribute to quality process definition for the programme, including formal and informal review, testing and inspection regimes. You will deliver test strategies to ensure that various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, stress, acceptance etc. are considered and planned for, with specific emphasis on:

o Testing principles
o Shift left on testing and quality assurance
o Test automation at various stages of testing
o TDD & BDD in relation to test automation
o Built in quality controls, metrics & continuous code quality monitoring (including security)
o Entry / exit criteria for various stages of testing
o Testing approach for each of the three solutions in release 2
o Roles and responsibilities around testing in a multi partner delivery model
o Test environments & test data management
o Test management tool set; current, interim and future state
o Risk mitigation in a multi partner delivery model
o Reporting & governance

You will be working closely with Vendor / Supplier and Industry Participants to develop appropriate testing approaches and plans

● Validate the testing against the agreed Test strategy for the project.
● Review levels of testing from system testing, regression testing to Operation Acceptance Testing.
● Validate quality of Vendor / Service Provider Testing by review of Test Plan and Test materials
● In conjunction with SMEs identify and discuss gaps in data capture process and formulate approach to be adopted to ensure all critical information is captured for Test Cases and Defects such that the process can be standardised.
● Identify and remediate gaps in linkage between Test Case, Test Execution and Defects to implement process for eliminating the gaps to establish Bi-Directional Traceability Matrix.
Required skills & experience
● Educated to degree level; preferably in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
● Extensive experience of QA Lead and Test Automation.
● Proven experience working in teams practicing Agile & DevOps.
● Data, analytics, business intelligence based system testing experience preferred.
● API and microservices based applications and platforms testing experience preferred, not
must have.
● Demonstrable experience of working within transformational programmes.
● Demonstrable experience of working with third party suppliers in an offshore / near shore
environment.
