QA Lead - Permanent - Lifestyle & Benefits - £65-70k

(C#, .NET, JavaScript, API Testing)

We're working with one of the UK's most progressive lifestyle & benefits companies that are looking for a QA Lead to join them on a permanent basis. The team are working remotely at the moment and occasionally meeting in their Central London office for lunches/team meetings.

The Insurance Division is completing its transformation journey to consolidate its system landscape and to enable rapid process improvements and client enhancements. It has moved to a new system, Nordic, and has started to embed across the organisation.

As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for improving the efficiency of the testing processes initially within Nordic; then across to impacted systems to significantly increase the frequency and stability of feature releases to the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the Testing process and methodology

  • Automate tests and release processes to significantly increase the frequency and stability of releases

  • Develop the team and team members to be a high performing, efficient unit

  • Work closely with the Test team to ensure testing within the squad teams is supported, efficient, and best practise is implemented and continuously improved upon

  • Work closely with the Test team to ensure adequate technologies are in place to allow for efficient testing

  • Review/contribute to strategies, approaches and plans

Technical Skills:

  • API testing experience (Postman, Swagger, RestSharp).

  • Solid experience with Test Automation Frameworks (SpecFlow, C#, .NET)

  • Experience with JavaScript automation (Angular, Cypress)

  • Understanding of PaaS, SaaS and serverless technologies in AWS or Azure

  • Testing of Serverless APIs (AWS Lambda / Azure Functions) and tooling to support

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration of these pipelines (Team City / Octopus)

  • Non-functional testing experience (Performance, Security)

  • Familiarity with Data Lake concepts

  • Proven leadership skills with experience with performance reviews and objective setting

  • Usage of Jira (Epics, Stories and Defect Management)

  • SpiraTest (Manual Test Scripts)

Personal Skills:

  • The ability to demonstrate through examples, the effective management of stakeholder relationships at all levels internally and externally

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Personable, enthusiastic and a good communicator (ability to present, inform and guide others)
