A Contract Automation QA Engineer is currently required by a leading international lifestyle and benefits organisation who specialise in the travel/e-commerce and insurance industries. Their QAs are the glue that hold the software delivery together making this a critical role within the team.
The role will go further than validating code and logging bugs; you will work as part of a thriving development team and working closely with the product owner to lead the focus on quality by regularly pairing directly with developers.
The key will be utilising current and developing new test automation components and collaborate with numerous agile teams. The QA will need to be an advocate and evangelise for best practices including Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
They also require a versatile tester who can cover a broad range of testing activities (when required) including Functional testing, Performance testing, Regression testing, Integration testing, User acceptance testing, Data migration testing, Live release post implementation testing etc.
Strong background in both manual and automated testing approaches and frameworks
4 years + experience in C# and SpecFlow
Experience in REST API testing and automation e.g., RestSharp, Postman or similar
Experience of performance testing using tools like JMeter, security, or resilience testing
Agile TDD/BDD working experience
Database testing in SQL for writing queries
Continuous integration (Jenkins/Teamcity)
Strong knowledge/experience with JIRA
Experience in insurance, e-commerce and multilingual systems would be a great advantage
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled test automation specialist/QA expert to join a well-known and thriving business with a strong engineering team.
This role will be outside IR35 and on an initial 3-month interim basis (very high chance of extension to 6 months+).
The team is currently will continue to work on a very flexible wfh model but would require somebody who would be happy to occasionally visit the Central London based-office for workshops sessions (likely 1-2 days per month).
