Our client's smart energy management solutions unlock flexibility behind-the-meter to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, sustainable energy economy.
With solar set to increase tenfold in the next 20 years, they are now looking for a Software Engineer to join their IoE (Internet of Energy) team responsible for creating systems to monitor and control Distributed Energy Resources (DER) such as batteries, electric cars, solar generation and heat pumps, with the aim of playing a key role in the world's energy transition to a more sustainable future.
Work with stakeholders and the team lead on the design based on requirements
Be able to deliver functional software within a timeframe
Contribute to the overall architecture of Virtual Power Plant engines.
Design and develop API endpoints
Cooperate closely with other system components owners ranging from IoT framework, business systems and front ends
2 years' commercial experience with Python
Some experience working on the micro services-based systems
Experience working with the RESTful / Websockets APIs
Good exposure to Linux
Experience with Databases - MySQL/Aurora, SQLite
Practical experience with AWS or GCP/Azure using both serverless and container deployments.
