Role: Project Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: up to £45k

Our Manchester based client is currently looking for a Project Manager to join them as they undergo a significant business and organisational transformation program as they aim to deliver world class customer experiences and reduce operational growth. They are still early on in their digital transformation and are now looking to expand their program to develop their customer facing portals and further develop their product portfolio. As a result of this, an opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Digital Program Team.

Reporting to the Program Delivery Lead, you will:

  • Create and manage project plans and activities for multiple, simultaneous projects, taking over some in flight as well as initiating from scratch
  • Create and deliver against roadmaps for future versions of the customer facing portals
  • Motivate the entire project team towards achieving the common goal, under challenging timeframes and budgets
  • Execute project plans within an Agile methodology, although will need to be flexible in approach depending on the demands of the project
  • Report on the progress of projects to the core project team and on occasions may be asked to report directly to the senior leadership team through highlight reports and other ad-hoc reporting requirements
  • Be responsible for decision making in relation to the progress of a project and will support/facilitate the decision making in reference to predetermined outcomes. Decisions where wider program impacts are anticipated need to be made in conjunction with the program lead
  • Develop and maintain highly effective working relationships with team members, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Manage all standard project documentation; RAIDs, project plans, resource plans etc
