Project Manager - Payments - 6 Month Contract

About the Role

La Fosse is excited to be working with a leading Tech Company who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their UK payment organisation on a contract basis. The Project Manager will manage the operationalisation of end-to-end Payment Operations working with the Mobility and Delivery LoBs and their Payment Product and Compliance Operations teams.

This is a dynamic project & program management role with a heavy focus on cross-functional collaboration and process improvement through alignment, teamwork and out of the box thinking. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, who has experience of working in a rapidly growing Fintech business as well working in complex/matrix organisations with a strong growth mentality.

You will need to swiftly align their business strategies to its underlying payment operations focusing on its critical touchpoints and sources of friction from onboarding (KYC & Screening) to the collection and disbursement of payments

Knowledge of the UK Payments market (Cards and Bank to Bank) with an understanding on KYC/KYB/Screening requirements and solutions is key as well as having direct experience working with Acquirers and PSPs in the e-com Merchant space.

What you'll do:

  • Project Manage the operationalisation, managing multiple workstreams across global/regional/local functions ensuring it delivers commercial value and meets FCA and other regulatory requirements

  • Plan and lead high-impact initiatives to improve Merchant and Earner onboarding and payment processes

  • Map out key activities across their entire Payments Value Chain and any risks and dependencies

  • Be a crucial thought partner in developing outstanding operational excellence

  • Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes

  • Build, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting models to track and communicate performance metrics as they relate to your line of business

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years Project Management experience

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in a Tech driven organisation

  • Experience working in a complex environment managing a large number of diverse stakeholders at Global, Regional and Local level

  • Succinct Communicator - ability to break down complex issues and communicate at all levels in the organization.

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively with key stakeholders under tight deadlines.

  • Solid background in Payments from an Acquirer/PSP/Merchant lens

  • Experience in KYB/KYC Compliance requirements to facilitate payments

  • Understanding of FCA/PSR/Pay.UK regulatory requirements

  • Highly motivated. Ability to work under pressure and under your own initiative.
