Position Title: Senior Project Manager
Reports to: Head of Enterprise Programme Delivery
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Role Overview:
The Senior Project Manager is a responsible for the end-to-end management of specific business change projects within the transformation and enterprise-wide programmes. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while meeting the strategic objectives of the broader transformation agenda.
You will require working closely with cross-functional teams, and external partners to manage project timelines, risks, and resources. Strong leadership, communication, organisation and coordinating is essential to ensure seamless delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:

Developing and managing multiple project plans, ensuring clarity around timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.

Monitoring project activities to ensure progress is on track and adjusting plans acordingly to mitigate risks and ensure delivery is on time.

Ensure all project workstreams are delivered within budget, and meet quality standards using agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe,)
Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management:
-
Engage regularly with key stakeholders, including the Head of Enterprise Programme Delivery and external partners, providing timely updates on project progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Feeding changes to the programme team, understanding the visability of change in the business, and supporting with change initiatives.

Ensure clear and effective communication with project teams, fostering collaboration and alignment across all workstreams.

Present regular reports and updates to senior leadership.
Risk and Issue Management:

Working with teams to analyse risks/issues and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact.

Escalate critical risks to the Head of Enterprise Programme Delivery or senior leadership as required, ensuring timely resolution to keep the project on track.

Maintain a risk register and ensure regular updates are provided.
Resource and Budget Management:

Work closely with the Finance Lead to manage project budgets, track expenditures and reporting, to ensure that the project remains within financial constraints.

Provide forecasts for project resources and budget requirements to align with transformational objectives.

Implement quality control processes and perform regular reviews to ensure project outputs are fit for purpose and business needs

Facilitate effective collaboration between project teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
-
Proven experience managing large-scale projects and programmes in agile
- Strong hands-on Business Change experience, ideally within transformations

Demonstrable success in working with cross-functional teams across technical and business

Experience building and maintaining roadmaps, sprint plans, and
-
Hands-on experience with agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ).

Experience implementing governance processes and managing project

Relevant certifications such as Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP, or similar are
Skills:

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting/governance

Effective coaching and mentoring abilities (will be working closely with a team of BA’s)

Analytical and problem-solving mindset to resolve blockers

Resilient and able to work under pressure, maintaining control and focus in a fast-paced environment

Detail oriented and proactive.
