Our client, a multinational market research and insights organisation, currently sought a Programme Test Lead (contract) to join their talented and driven technology team, to implement high test standards and embed a high-level strategy across various critical workstreams within the business.
This person will need to have great experience in coordinating end-to-end testing to meet the needs of the business within tight timeframes. The Programme Test Manager will play a key role is managing the testing capabilities for both internal and partner testing as well as taking ownership of continuous improvement to drive and enhance the testing capabilities for the business.
Key roles:
Deliver a high-level test strategy and support in producing robust frameworks that adhere to PMO standards.
Execute test cases for System Test, System Integration Test (SIT), Performance Test and Load Test, verifying that the delivered functionality fully meets the defined requirements (evidenced by documentation)
Create and maintain of both functional and non-functional test cases
Assist the planning and creation of appropriate automation tooling (e.g., test automation).
Build professional and effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Plan own workload and coordinate the work of the test team and test partner resources (both on and offshore)
Ensure project test strategies are adhering to PMO procedures and standards
Key skills/requirements
Strong background in Test Management with both strategic and technical experience
Exceptional stakeholder management skills both internal an external partners/team members.
Performance and Stress testing skills & tools
Excellent backlog management skills (or similar) i.e., Jira, Azure DevOps
Scrum Master Certification, Project Management qualification such as AgilePM, PMP or equivalent is Desirable
Automation skills with relevant tooling is desirable (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Maven, Cypress, TypeScript /JavaScript)
This role will sit outside of IR35 and for an initial 6-month period. The client would expect this person to join the rest of team in the office one day per week in London, near to Chancery Lane underground station.
