Job Title: Programme Manager
Location: Hybrid, multiple office locations
Contract type: Permanent, full time
Salary: up to £54,412.21 per annum
Reports to: Director of Change
We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to successfully lead, plan and deliver the most strategically important programmes within the animal charity through collaboration with all levels in the organisation.
The role will require the ability to apply a structured Programme Management approach to ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within agreed scope and budget - and to deliver real, sustainable change across the organisation
The post holder must rapidly become a subject expert in the area in which they are working and will be required to manage relationships with senior managers and stakeholders across the charity. In addition, the role will play an important part in building up the maturity of their programme delivery.
The ideal candidate will have:
Substantial experience of successfully designing and delivering large programmes (£1m plus) and multiple projects simultaneously delivering significant change, including projects with a technology and digital dimension
Experience of designing strong change management techniques into programmes
Experience of associated programme activity including operating models, process mapping and requirements capture
Experience of developing and managing programme progress and performance reporting, presenting information clearly and concisely
Ability to coordinate, track and control multiple projects working with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders
Proven ability to lead people through change and transition
Experience of managing teams, both in direct and matrix environments, including the coaching and development of peers
Experience of supporting greater organisational maturity in programme and project management
Budgetary management and strong analytical skills and experience to manage large budgets
Experience of working in the charity or public sector is desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills through influential and persuasive methods
Proven ability to work on own initiative, accurately and under pressure
Organised and professional approach with a positive attitude
Recognised Programme and/or Project Management qualification
