Programme Accountant- Real Estate, Finance, Programme

This role is responsible for the Financial Management and control of a high profile and complex transition programme. The right candidate should have experience of accounting and reporting for large scale programmes and must have previous experience working in the real estate industry.

Responsibility's of the role:

  • Provide a project reporting and accounting function with emphasis on cost management.
  • Strong focus on business partnering of the programme and business teams in order to meet the requirements of the contract and delivery within agreed budgets.
  • Review and analyse project actual and forecast spend to support Project Managers in the financial control and forecasting of their budgets.
  • Identify and manage financial risk and issues and respond with solutions.
  • Ensure all financial processes and controls within the business are adhered to. Highlight areas for increased controls, generate business "buy in", and implement the controls as necessary
  • Stakeholder management across: internal and third part suppliers, business teams, finance teams, delivery leads, challenging not only the business and its project managers but on all aspects of process and cost.
  • Ensure that the appropriate Finance MI, process and systems are in place to provide support to the Programme, so that customers are treated fairly in line with Customer Experience and TCF policy.
  • To take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group's policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance.

Key Skills Needed

  • Accounting and reporting experience for large programmes
  • Experience of reviewing and analysing projects actual and forecasted spend
  • Experience identifying and handling financial risks and propose solutions
  • Stakeholder holder management
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
