La Fosse is currently working with a leading insurance firm to help recruit a Strategic Procurement Engagement Manager.

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract: 3 months | Inside IR35 | £550 - £700 PER DAY

Start Date: ASAP

Your role as a Procurement Manager

Immediate start to look after MI reporting, strategy, control & governance management, audit control, RFP's, contract management, policies & procedure etc.

This is a very high level role which would see you work extremely closely with the Group head of Procurement.

  • Lead the strategy and vision for supplier engagement and performance management activities.
  • Support implementation of function and category strategies to maximise business efficiency and achieving cost synergies.
  • Deliver effective planning, control and support mechanisms to ensure delivery of policy and processes, in line with business expectations.
  • Contribute to strategic change projects, to drive innovation from the supply base and ensure it is contracted and delivered.
  • Research, identify and deliver cost reduction/savings initiatives.
  • Inform and observe appropriate governance frameworks to maintain adherence to Procurement/Group/regulatory governance.
  • Working closely with suppliers/ partners to drive new customer propositions, cost reduction and service improvements and access innovation, challenge unnecessary business demands, manage contract obligations and measure contract delivery. Resolving and mitigating supplier issues where performance is under expected standards.

Ideally to be successful as a Procurement Manager

  • Knowledge and understanding of business, operations and service functions.
  • Excellent awareness of best practice and industry standards, legislative and compliance environments.
  • Strong supplier engagement skills (delivering SLAs, BRs, contract obligations).
  • Analytical mindset, but also creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches.
  • Experience managing stakeholders at all levels and possess strong influencing skills.
  • Wide demonstrable knowledge of supplier engagement and performance management.
  • Procurement, process excellence and contracting.
  • Familiar with the full lifecycle of supplier management from procurement and into operational governance and leadership.
