We are currently working with an established global technology PR agency based in central London who are looking for an ambitious Senior Account Executive to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for tech and a willingness to learn to work as part of a fun and dynamic team.

Responsibilities include:

Client management

  • Regularly identify opportunities for improving team or client management/servicing
  • Develop a good understanding of your client's business and be familiar with their full range of products, services and their points of difference
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships
  • Have active understanding and awareness of issues, marketing objectives, technology and products, in order to provide strategic planning and counsel to the client and media
  • Develop and understanding of the role social media can play in shaping corporate reputation - advocacy and crisis management

Media

  • Manage complicated media enquiries from start to finish on a regular basis, including the publication of approved client statements/comments that you have created
  • Provide reactive comment in response to media enquiries, following guidance from line managers
  • Confidently manage relationships with journalists both reactively and proactively
  • Understand when it is necessary to escalate a media enquiry upwards to a more senior member of the team
  • On an ongoing basis demonstrate your ability to piggyback the news agenda and successfully connect a client issues to a journalist's agenda and pitch and place suitable stories for clients
  • Confidently and successfully pitch stories to national and trade media on behalf of your clients on an ongoing basis

Management

  • Work collaboratively with your Account Manager/Account Director to manage the day to day workloads of junior members of the team and develop the ability to plan for peaks in activity
  • Delegate work as appropriate to junior members of the team ensuring that senior members are kept abreast of workloads and deadlines as appropriate

New Business

  • Work with the senior team in responding to new business proposals by remaining flexible and completing activities such as compiling detailed research, providing creative ideas to brainstorms and collating slides

Finance

  • Be responsible for reconciling client costs/budgets for small projects as requested by your manager
  • Understand and meet guidelines on best business practices including utilisation, daily timesheets, accurate billing, timely expense reports, etc.
