Job Title: PMO

Salary: £40,000-£45,000

Location: London / Peterborough - Flexible Working

PMO is required to foreign exchange industry. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, PMO. You will be required to apply Project Management capabilities and delivery focus to high profile business projects. Also, ensure that assigned projects are delivered within agreed timeframes, within budget and with high quality standards. Assist PMO Director & Senior Project Manager to review and feedback on project plans and financials in association with project lead and apply best practice governance standards across all projects delivered. Provide accurate and timely project updates statuses and escalates issues that put the target date and/or benefits at risk. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management across all levels of the business, this role will oversee multiple projects concurrently that may have competing priorities, resources, and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of assigned projects to ensure delivery within scope, time and on budget to achieve successful business outcomes

  • Take ownership for the review of project full lifecycles, from initiation to project closure, taking a lead role in high priority projects ensuring these are managed in accordance with PRINCE2 project methodology standards.

  • Assist the PMO Director and Senior Project Manager across the full range of project management tasks

  • Support the development and initiation of new project ideas, and provide guidance in developing these into Business Cases and then into fully fledged programmes of change activity including support documentation plans & financials

  • Ensure that projects are successfully and effectively delivered through the rigorous application of a standard project management approach, ensuring they are delivered to time, cost, and quality criteria, which meet both internal and external customer requirements

  • Work closely with stakeholders to monitor project progress against original business cases, take ownership for project document, (ensuring where necessary the project can adapt to changing requirements and that plans are adjusted accordingly so that deliverables are on time, to specified quality and within budget) and ensure that the anticipated benefits are fully realised

  • Actively build relationships with multiple stakeholders and organisations

  • Plan meetings with project owners, workstream leads and other relevant stakeholders, planning workshops, demonstrations, and process development for staff at all levels

  • Capture minutes accurately from complex cross-functional meetings

  • Review of project budgets and benefits and liaise with finance to ensure continuity with budgets and KPIs

  • Monitor project progress, and preparation of reports and updates to be shared with the wider business, including C-Suite and Board levels

  • Deputise for the Senior Project Manager when required

Experience/Skills:

  • Proven work experience as delivery focused Project Manager

  • Experience in project management and PMO, from conception to delivery

  • An ability to prepare and interpret project documentation, including project plans and financial trackers

  • Soild organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management

  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control

  • Hands-on experience with project management methodologies and tools across both waterfall and agile

  • Ability to use own knowledge and experience of delivery to forewarn on potential risks and conflicts across the portfolios

  • Strong relationship building / development skills (internal and external)

  • Strong teamwork, strong analytical and technical skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent planning skills

  • PMP / PRINCE2 certification is a plus

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar is a plus
