Position - Platform & Content Manager (SharePoint)

Location - Mayfair, London (Hybrid)

Salary - £65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Background

We are working with one of the largest US data centre organisation, who following a recent acquisition have invested a significant amount of capital in to expanding its European portfolio. This expansion sees the need for Platform & Content Manager to join their growing team.

Today they have operational assets in London, Paris, Dublin, Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Serving their cloud customers, the UK based EU Technology team are responsible for the delivery of a large portfolio of projects across Europe ranging from £10k to £70M.

Job Purpose

The Platform & Content Manager will be responsible for deploying and managing our clients document management system across Europe, which is currently SharePoint, whilst also providing system training to non-technical staff.

Working closely with the wider European IT team, US based infrastructure team and local outsourcing partners where applicable the role will lead the deployment of SharePoint and other document repositories.

Additionally the role will be responsible for the standards and governance on document storage and data quality (i.e naming conventions, visioning) and will also be responsible for defining the policy and process of how documents are shared both internally and externally.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement procedures for effective document management and manage the naming convention strategy and process.

  • Implementing, reviewing, and refining the governance framework, strategy and vision for document management ensuring that these align with the corporate Strategy.

  • Create rules and procedures for the sharing of sensitive/non sensitive documents internally and externally.

  • Provide guidance including written material and training to staff members in the daily use of the proposed document storage systems.

  • Guarantee adherence to legal and company regulations.

  • Assist with recognising and upholding digital security systems to protect delicate information.

  • Management of our 365 SharePoint strategy, content structure and deployment.

  • Play a key role in the execution of the content migration activities from legacy systems or newly acquired sites into SharePoint.

  • Lead the update of core content as aligned to the changes to process and ways of working.

  • Partner with the leadership team to define system solutions for effective communications of the document storage systems and procedures.

  • Have a deep understanding of business requirements and partner with tech team to deliver better tools and vehicles for content and communications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in a similar role.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

  • Minimum 3 years experience.

  • Certifications with Microsoft advantageous.

  • Some travel across our UK and European sites required.

This role has a hybrid working policy, with one day a week based in Mayfair, London and comes with a generous salary up to £75,000 plus bonus & benefits.
