O365 Migration Specialist - £350 to £450 per day - Outside - 6 month initial contract - On Site
The O365 Migration Specialist will have a positive attitude, be willing to work closely with colleagues, & take great satisfaction from delivering and supporting IT solutions. The O365 Migration Specialist will focus on full integration of the M365 ecosystem including communication and collaboration tools, amendments to exchange/email provision.
The O365 Migration Specialist should possess a strong 3rd line engineering background in infrastructure and have knowledge of cloud offerings e.g., Azure and Microsoft technical skills to fulfil this role.
This role will be field based (within M25 apart from 1 site in Scotland).
General responsibilities: -
Complete the migration of the Exchange environment to the clients existing O365 tenant in line with the architectural roadmap and agreed project scope. To be achieved by:
- Collate current email information and manage basic data cleanse
- Configure the existing O365 tenant to allow access to legacy Exchange environment
- Create and manage AD distribution lists
- Migrate email, pst/archives, contacts, calendars, distribution lists from Exchange to O365 (user by user)
- Setup temporary mail forwarders and migrate email domains
- Document and migrate server/printer/scanner email
- Confirm email security is appropriate (including TLS rules etc)
- Decommission legacy email services such as Egress, Exchange and Mimecast.
- Supporting the project integration team to deliver transition to O365

Skills/experience required: -
- Exchange (on-prem) migrations to O365.
- Ability to produce quality documentation e.g. low-level designs, work instructions, support documents.
- Subject-matter expert in Microsoft 365 infrastructure; Exchange Online and on-prem, O365, AzureAD, migration/import of PST files between domains.
- Working knowledge of Networking technologies relevant to Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of relevant information security standards
- A good sense of discipline for governance controls and procedures.
- Demonstrable previous migrations of Exchange to O365
