NETWORK ENGINEER
Contract
600-650PD (Inside IR35)
We are currently assisting one of our key clients for 3 exciting new contract roles. You will be supporting their XL class ships through the Spring and Summer season in Europe (possibly longer).
- Must have CCNA or equivalent skills (these two ships are heavy on the cisco switching)
- Must understand firewalls - ideally Palo Alto but not mandatory
- Must understand Vmware, to be sufficient enough to power down a Host, move vm's around - proficient not expert
- Must have some understanding of Microsoft Windows Server - proficient but not expert.
- Must be an excellent team player
- Must be a great communicator and happy to work at all levels, End users, Onboard OIT's, Ship Senior management and shore IT.
This role will require:
28 days on site on the ship travelling through Europe, 14 days off (give and take, depends on when the ships dock)
The day will be split with some breaks and opportunities to go ashore where possible.
