My Client, a global insurance firm are urgently seeking a networks & telephony architect to lead the networks domain to kick of a global programme of work. The Networks & telephony architect will be responsible for three key initiatives.

  • Upgrading the WAN, Datacentres and switches globally
  • Upgrade Cisco Call Centre Manager from V9 to V11
  • Lead the integration of a corporate M&A and integrate the acquiring businesses networks and telephony.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Cisco Network technologies, video, voice and unified collaboration including Cisco Call Centre Manager.
  • Consult, define and present migration strategies and roadmaps.
  • Provide Solution ownership for Network and Telephony services.
  • Leverage previous experience to help guide and consult on migration strategies, application architecture and service operations.
  • Provide technical expertise with regards to the following software and hardware technologies: Cisco UCS, UCS Director/Manager, CloudCenter, WLAN, LAN, WAN, MAN, ACI, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN (S2S and C2S), CISCO IPS, QOS, Firewalls, Proxies, F5s, WAN Optimisation, Fibre, Ethernet, Cloud Network Configuration in AWS and Azure, HCI, IOT, DNA. Polycom, Oracle SBC, Video and Voice protocols, codecs and standards.
  • Experience on Cloud connectivity, deployments and architecture including ExpressRoute.
  • Work with the Workstream PMs and Engineering leads to ensure the correct implementation of strategic solutions
  • Liaise with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, IRM and other Engineering Leads and SMEs to determine technology solution alternatives and alignment/disruption to roadmap while addressing specific business and application needs.
  • Provide Network and Telephony infrastructure design services including technical assessments, IT standards compliance
  • Review HLD and LLDs designs for adherence to provided Architectural approaches and participate in service transition / quality gate reviews prior to go-live.
