Mobile Application Architect - Manchester - Initial 3 Month contract

Our Manchester based client are currently looking for a Mobile Application Architect to join their team on an initial 3 month contract. Joining the Architecture team as a Mobile Applications solutions specialist, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of a component platform strategy to support transactional, high volume, Apps on iOS and Android devoices to agreed architectural standards.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of high level architectural design and solutions for Mobile Apps and will have an understanding of hands on technologies in this sphere. You'll have a proven track record of delivery as an architectural SME, from design leadership and proof of concept, to technical solution design and occasional hands-on implementation and transition into live support.

You must have expertise in the following;

  • Experience with native and/or hybrid mobile app development; primarily in the IOS and Android space.
  • Experience with mobile app interface design and familiar with industry best practices such as Apple HIG and Google Material Design.
  • Capability to be involved with the architecture solutions for the front end Web platforms and Applications, having experience in evironments using Javascript, CSS, HTML, Angular etc.
  • Experience in a transactional application, which is integrated with a commerce platform system.
  • Experience with system integration with web service standards such as REST or SOAP.
  • Experience and knowledge in leveraging mobile technologies such as NFC, Location, Bluetooth, Wifi, Apple Pay and TouchID and Android Pay.
  • Experience with utilising cloud technologies, such as AWS.
