MI Analyst Team Lead

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of MI Analysts, assuming responsibility for their day to day management including top down objective setting (in conjunction with the MI Manager ), 1:1's, holiday approval, absence management and identifying and dealing with areas of underperformance within the team
  • Monitor the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the MI Analysts whilst promoting service excellence to our stakeholders, engaging with them to deliver on time
  • Deal with Incidents relating to MI and manage BAU requests/requests for improvements to existing MI through Service Now
  • Responsible for setting an example to the team on how to work efficiently and effectively, ensuring their own behaviour and deliverables can be set as a benchmark for performance
  • Adhere to the contractual Service Delivery Process(es) and Service Level Agreements both internally and externally
  • Manage the documentation, client report/stakeholder report requirements and validation requirements
  • Ensure cover and knowledge sharing within the team to eradicate risk of key man dependency and deliver a consistent service across all clients and internal stakeholders
  • Provide relevant insight and analysis to improve client understanding of their own performance.

  • Skilled at delivering to challenging timelines whist maintaining attention to detail and analytical governance and integrity
  • Ability to be calm and retain a professional attitude under pressure
  • Able to manage strict deadlines, particularly at certain times of the month/year
  • Excellent organisational skills across a varied workload
  • Ability to prioritise tasks to meet agreed deadlines
  • Strong presentational skills
  • At least 5 years' experience working as an Analyst with some Team Leader experience/Lead experience
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent proven work experience)
  • Background in BI, MI and Reporting tools such as Power BI, COGNOS, QlikView, Tableau or MS Reporting
  • Proficient in TSQL
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience of Azure toolset desirable
  • Experienced interacting with senior management, communicating effectively and achieving 'trusted advisor' status
  • MS Office skills
  • Advanced EXCEL skills
  • Office 365 toolset
