Master Data Manager

Cambridge

As part of a new and business critical function you will play a key role in delivering the master data strategy in a global multi-billion-dollar organisation.

You will take ownership for designing Finance Master Data, Information Model and implementing Finance Data Quality to improve analytical and operational Finance Data. This will involve engaging key stakeholders in both business and technology teams to understand requirements and draw up roadmaps and strategy. This will focus around the structure of the Conceptual Data Model and the Logical Data Model.

Accountability:

  • Manages the day to day operation of the design master data and ensures alignment with IT. This includes the collation of data requirements, link with key stakeholders and alignment with our governance documentation,
  • Collaborate on the main activities for design of Finance master data with Data Owners/Data Stewards and other stakeholders from Finance,
  • Co-ordinates the design of the changes in the relevant downstream systems working with the owners of those systems,
  • Drive and supervise finance master data change deployment

Your background:

  • Master Data Management and governance experience
  • Strong academic record including finance and/or business qualification
  • Strong communication, organisation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent business engagement and business acumen
  • The ability to design, define and implement solutions for different customer groups
  • Experience of working with and managing third party suppliers/vendors
  • Experience in developing Information Models/Finance Data Models/Data Quality models and assessing the impact of business events on those models
  • Experience in building Business models for Finance
  • Experience in Data Quality models
