Marketing Executive

Company Overview

Our client is an FCA regulated, founder-led business listed on the London Stock Exchange. They have traded more than $75bn in over 70 currencies for their clients since 2012. Making and receiving payments on their behalf.

They are a profitable, debt-free, cash rich business and operate as a Riskless Principal broker for non-speculative and commercial currency transactions. Whether their clients' objectives are short or long-term, their sharp execution combined with expert analysis achieves material impact on both pricing and efficiency.

The Role

The Marketing Executive role is a new position for out client. This is a chance to work in a highly ambitious and energetic working environment with the opportunity to become a seasoned marketing generalist in the financial services space. Unlike many financial services, our client has chosen to partner with dynamic and disruptive marketing and tech agencies that create cutting edge products and compelling content. Part of this role will be managing the relationships between our client and these agencies as well working with an inspiring team who have audacious goals to disrupt the landscape in which they compete.

The business currently has a consultant that advises on the communication strategy and manages the perception of the brand to internal and external stake holders. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for facilitating communication between the business, consultant, and agencies.

Main duties

  • To be the main conduit between the agencies and the business ensuring that all content seen internally and externally is correct and updated.
  • Manage the upkeep of marketing documents eg Corporate brochure, investor presentations, analyst documents and press releases ensuring the company is portrayed in the best way.
  • Work with our communications and brand consultant to ensure that the company is communicated as the leading FX specialist and, in time, an alternative banking solution.
  • Ensure the website is updated and maintained. This role will be the link between the business and our agency who manage the site
  • Implement a marketing calendar for the year to incorporate AGMs, company announcements, trading updates and corporate events
  • Provide support for the Marketing Consultant during the writing of the Annual Report and half year results

The role will be responsible for two key areas:

1) Brand Maintenance

  • To be the creator and gatekeeper of the Brand Guidelines
  • Create and amend company presentations for internal and external purposes
  • To help design reports that contain sensitive, financial information
  • To be exceptionally organised in the preparation of public documents
  • To facilitate the internal communication - write draft announcements, create cadence of communication
  • To create ad-hoc branded collateral for internal and external events eg invitation, posters etc

2) Digital:

  • Maintaining the website with updated information
  • To extract and interpret web analytics and propose solutions
  • To work closely with third part agencies eg Web agency, Creative agency
  • To manage the digital calendar to ensure a regular cadence of content released and to ensure SEO, display ads etc are getting the best ROI with correct and relevant messaging
  • Transform our LinkedIn page to make it more current and captivating for branding and recruitment purposes.
  • To have an understanding of GDPR and data compliance

Specific Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Proven ability to work in InDesign and extremely confident using PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience in website management eg Drupal and CMS maintenance
  • Highly motivated and uncompromising attention to detail
  • Ability to also take detailed instruction and action promptly
  • To be a self-starter and the ability to work, at times, autonomously
