Seeking a proactive, organised, & creative individual to lead its internal marketing team. This is a newly created role and will oversee the creation and delivery of the long term (3 years), annual (12 months), and seasonal (6 months) marketing & engagement strategies. They would also take ownership of any ad hoc opportunities as they arise.

Since this is a lead role, the individual will also have the opportunity to build a team around them, either with direct reports or with external agencies, to deliver sales targets and grow its brand. Reporting directly into the Brand Director, who oversees all company strategy and operations, working as part of the key management team with the Finance Manager and Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Brand Director and senior leadership to understand key product launches, sales periods, and events for the year ahead, then develop strategies to support each launch. These should take into account:
    • Social media
    • PR
    • Digital
    • Events
    • Store & point of sale collaborations
  • Act as primary point of contact for external support agencies (e.g. branding/PR), and manage them to ensure they are delivering their objectives that support the business in the above areas.
  • Act as primary point of contact for marketing teams from our retailers in the UK and overseas.
  • Work alongside brand (sales) managers in each of our key regions to understand their needs and how the business can support them through marketing and engagement.
  • Build and develop the marketing and engagement team as needs require to ensure all objectives are met, with an immediate focus on customer service, digital, and events management.
  • As the companies marketing needs increase, provide advice on growing their marketing capabilities, whilst constantly evaluating our performance to ensure the highest levels of cost-effectiveness, productivity, and agility.
  • Ensure that the customer engagement experience remains exclusive and personal across all marketing channels.

Key skills required:

  • 2-3 years' experience of luxury goods/retail.
  • A keen understanding of niche is paramount.
  • Strong experience with social and digital marketing & media.
  • Should be social media 'agnostic' - able to work across all platforms
  • Strong organisation & project management skills
