Position - Linux Engineer
Location - Durham (pretty much fully remote at the moment)
Salary - £24,000- £27,500 + Benefits
Background:
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for an individual to start their IT career. You will be tasked with multiple-project work streams in the cloud and infrastructure space.
The role:
- Work alongside the growing team to ensure tickets are answered or allocated to the correct person in accordance with agreed SLA's
- Given the opportunity to work as a 3rd line escalation point
- Work on projects such as back-ups, linux improvements, VDI/native deployments and applications
- You will be given the opportunity to also start your own projects where you feel there is room for improvement
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of the Linux space
- The company will pay for your level 7 Apprenticeship should you choose to take this route whilst working - leaving you with a masters degree
Key Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field (2:1 and above)
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Keen for progression and naturally proactive
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
