Linux and Unix Security Specialist

Large scale Insurance firm require a Linux and Security Specialist to aid them with a huge scale Cyber Security Transformation Programme.

The Linux & Unix Security specialist will have the following experience:

  • Implementing industry hardening standards including CIS frameworks.
  • Maintaining, administrating and hardening of Linux and Unix systems.
  • Create, document and maintain server hardening standards to met different security requirements.
  • RHEL 5, 6 &7 , Oracle Linux 5, 6, 7 and Oracle Solaris 10 and 11.
  • JBoss running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Cloud - IaaS, PaaS including Azure and AWS.
  • Patching and maintenance of servers
  • Security Tools And Knowledge of Attack Vectors (including OWASP)
  • Experience of using scripting to automate tasks
  • Triaging of vulnerability, security reports and remediation of servers.
  • Experience of Kerberos, especially with regard to securing applications running on Linux
  • Experience of Configuration Management technologies such as Chef, Puppet, Salt or Ansible etc.
  • Automating deployments of servers across on premises and cloud.
