JavaScript Developer (Angular + React)

We are currently looking for a JavaScript Developer (Angular + React) for a contract based in Leeds.
The project will be working on the client's CMS system, to improve and update their front-end platform and UI.

Experience using Angular (versions 2 and upwards) and React.js is essential, for UI Development and strong abilities with C#.Net and ASP.Net Core (Web API).

The key focus on this role is to help produce cutting-edge MS Office Web Add-ins which provide integration with Visualfiles and give great UX for our users across MS Office products. In addition, the successful candidate will also be involved with developing the new Angular web UI for our award-winning product.


  • Commercial experience using Angular 2+ (preferred version 7+)
  • Commercial experience using React.js
  • Strong knowledge of producing Microsoft Office Web Add-ins (using React)
  • Outlook & Word Add-in development knowledge
  • Office.js
  • Office Fabric React UI
  • Strong C#.Net/ASP.Net Core
  • JavaScript/Typescript
  • Jasmine/Jest, Karma, Protractor
  • Knowledge of VSTS and Git
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Graph Api/MS Office development
  • Strong Development experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Strong research skills
  • Strong knowledge in industry best practices in development.


  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
  • Complete complex bug fixes.
  • Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve complex technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Manage work including prototyping, testing, estimations and task allocation, implementation, documentation and delivery.
  • Work as part of a team on development projects and ensure that the final solution meets the agreed requirements, quality, deadlines and definition of done.
  • Collaborate with the team and product manager to prioritise business needs and task plans.
  • Participate in daily scrums, product demos and team meetings, and proactively participate in improving the development process.
  • Providing third line product support & assistance investigating customer raised issues.
  • Deal with day-to-day operational challenges that occur to deliver good quality code on time. Assists individuals, groups and senior staff in decision making, project planning and task estimations.
  • A strong desire to seek out the latest technologies and keep up-to-date.
  • Flexible and willing to pitch in where necessary to get things over the line.
