Role: IT Technical Specialist - Infrastructure
Location: Peterborough/Home working
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Benefits
This role will be responsible for providing technical documentation and support for IT change & projects, breaking large technical delivery tasks into Agile Stories for delivery. Provide 3rd line support for operational teams on high profile support incidents. Input into global strategy, standards and templates for the Travelex infrastructure and ensure local and global colleagues adhere to them. Role holder to provide:
Technical strategic direction and oversight to agile delivery teams.
Design input to the transformation from legacy to new infrastructure solutions, including "Cloud First" initiatives.
Vendor relationship management and maintenance contract management for the specific technologies for the role.
3rd Level, escalated support for the Travelex systems (within this technical discipline), to agreed standards an
Provide Technical leadership on infrastructure services design and implementation
Provide governance / guidance over current deployments ensuring they are to agreed standards and templates
Provide 3rd Level Technical support on infrastructure incidents.
Provide assistance to the wider global operational teams to leverage specialist knowledge
Provide consultancy/mentoring to the operational team members on technical aspects of the role
Essential technical requirements:
Good experience of IT Security - deploying solutions in a secure manner, to meet audit and compliance requirements.
In-depth knowledge of Azure AD and on-premises Active directory knowledge with running both within a hybrid solution with a multiple domain structure (this will include conditional access policies as well as the on-premises group policy objects). A strong understanding of domain structure, permissions and security will be required.
In-depth knowledge of O365 mail services also running in hybrid mode (possible knowledge Exchange 2010, 2016 and 2019.
In-depth knowledge of O365 services especially SharePoint, Teams and One Drive
In-depth knowledge of Azure Information protection and DLP services
Strong skills within mail service security (DKIM, DMARC, SPF etc.)
Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing for both Azure/O365 subscription based and the volume licensing. This should include an understanding of software assurance and the usage for transitioning to the cloud.
In-depth knowledge of Azure PIM
In-depth knowledge of Windows based OS ranging from 2000 and above (this will include permissions, services, file system, Event Viewer, hardening etc.)
