Position - IT Support Coordinator

Location - London

Salary - £30-38k

I have been retained by a leading international Money Transfer and Exchange firm, who are seeking an IT Support Coordinator as they look to further grow here in the UK. Reporting into the Senior IT Manager (Head of IT), the IT Support Coordinator will provide day-to-day support at the required level of service to customers and business users. The IT Support Coordinator will coordinate third-parties and internal teams to optimise service levels according to the Senior IT Manager's direction.

*PLEASE NOTE - my client is seeking some who has already worked within Financial Services or Banking.

MAIN DUTIES

Systems Support and Coordination:

  • Responsible for working with suppliers and develop extensive systems knowledge in order to support the business requirements and enhancements.
  • Supporting the day-to-day IT related activities for the business.
  • Assist in infrastructure projects (analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of systems).
  • Provide training and support to business users, including desktop and server/systems support.
  • Participate in project work as required.

Relationship Management:

  • Build relationships with key business sponsors.
  • Build relationships with key personnel within the vendors.

IT Service Delivery:

  • Responsible for working with IT Management to identify appropriate improvements and optimisations to enhance IT service delivery to the business.
  • Implement effective support delivery utilising internal and external parties in an efficient manner.
  • Produce regular MI and KPI metrics.
  • Undertake research into infrastructure technologies advancements, conducting evaluations, stress testing and assessment of appropriate technology to enhance the IT function.
  • Prepare detailed test specifications based on requirements and possible scenarios.
  • Ensure best practice and effective IT controls are applied to all aspects of systems.
  • Involvement in disaster recovery testing.

Support:

  • Coordinate system problems / incidents and escalations to suppliers.
  • Assist the Senior IT Manager as required.
  • Document daily procedures and manuals.

Training:

  • Provide training for business users and other support staff as necessary.
