Job Title: IT Service Operations Manager
Location: Hybrid – Leatherhead & Swindon
Salary: Up to £80,000
About the Role
We are looking for an IT Service Operations Manager to lead a small technical team for an Entertainment Company, managing and supporting a key technology platform delivering services to public and private sector clients. You’ll own day-to-day IT service operations, ensuring systems remain secure, scalable, and aligned to business and client needs.
This is an ideal role for a hands-on IT operations leader with experience in ITIL service delivery, Agile working, and managing technical teams in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee IT service delivery across platforms, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Line manage technical leads and drive team development.
- Run Agile ceremonies, track delivery, and prioritise work based on client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to capture and deliver change requests.
- Establish and manage governance processes, producing regular performance reports.
- Manage supplier relationships, support procurement, and contribute to bids and proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and ways of working.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience managing IT service operations and technical teams.
- Strong working knowledge of ITILv4 and service management best practices.
- Experience working within an Agile delivery framework.
- Good technical knowledge across PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, integration, and reporting platforms.
- Ability to manage suppliers and hold them to account against KPIs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Jira administration.
Desirable:
- Delivery qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Scrum Master).
- Platform certifications (e.g., AWS, CSSP).
- Experience in public sector or facilities management environments.
- Familiarity with release management, testing, and change control.
