I'm currently working with a leading Regulatory Technology Consultancy, in their search for a Contract IT Operations Lead.

My clients vision is to materially improve effectiveness and efficiency of non-financial crime compliance for cross-border and domestic payments and reduce the overall level of friction in the global payment system.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will provide leadership of all operational readiness activities to prepare for the successful launch of their platform, and once live oversee the operational management of the platform to ensure that it continues to achieve the SLA and performance levels expected by the business and their clients.

Main Responsibilites

Pre Go Live

  • Production and maintenance of a detailed operational readiness plan and implementation of reporting to enable tracking of progress against plan
  • Working with the Architecture Lead to ensure completeness of NFRs and sign off of solution designs
  • Working with the Test lead and Delivery Managers to validate that NFRs are met
  • Supporting with the Environments and Release Management Lead to specify and implement the environments required to support operations
  • Working with the Environments and Test Lead to ensure completeness of Non Functional Testing including execution of Operational Acceptance Testing
  • Define and implementation of ITSM processes and tooling to support live operations
  • Work with clients to agree and manage ITSM processes and reporting.

In Live

  • Chair of Operational forums
  • Supporting with the Environments and Release Management Lead to specify and implement the release schedule / chair the Change Advisory Board
  • Manage ITSM internal processes
  • Manage service management topics with clients
  • Be the point of escalation for critical incidents / operational issues
  • Work with partners to ensure the on the ongoing performance of each component within the platform
  • Work with Security to ensure the ongoing protection of the platform from threats
  • Continuously seek to improve the resilience of the platform
  • Manage operational support OPEX budget
  • Own the evolution of the Platform Ops operating model
