Role: IT Operations Analyst

Salary: Up to £35,000 + Benefits

Location: London (Travel into the office is required!)

About the role

The company are currently seeking an IT Operations Analyst who is innovative, collaborative, and driven, to join their multi-disciplined team. This role will handle multiple aspects of administration, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting in their global environment. There will be an opportunity to learn about all aspects of the company's technology footprint, as well as the business, and to grow your skills and knowledge in both breadth and depth.

Key responsibilities

  • Installing, configuring and supporting workstations, servers, telephony systems and all associated peripheral devices
  • Diagnosing and solving faults in both hardware and software
  • Performing system builds and upgrades
  • Supporting core trading and business software
  • Identifying opportunities for automation
  • Creating and managing documentation

Essential skills

  • 1+ years' experience working with Windows operating systems in a support capacity
  • Good operational knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange day-to-day management
  • Experience installing and configuring workstations
  • Experience of troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts & technologies

Desirable skills

  • Scripting skills, especially PowerShell and Python
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Hands on experience working in datacentre facilities
