IT Controls Manager

HQ in London (hybrid working model)

Up to £80,000 + bonus/package

We have partnered with one of the most exciting FinTech's on the market in the search for an IT Controls Manager. This Unicorn business has achieved a significant valuation in the billions with their product playing a key role as a strategic partner to a significant number of businesses across the globe.

Working with the SVP of Technology, you will play a leading role in developing a robust 1st line technology controls function. Building on the foundations of a somewhat mature function, you will help to improve IT control structures working with technology teams to provide a continuous assurance approach.

The team are aiming to create a very forward thinking and pro-active function so that technology has an effective 3 lines of defence model in place. You will partner with varying levels of stakeholders on a regular basis, building strong relationships with key individuals across the business. This is an exciting chance for someone to put their mark on the development of this function as it has significant scope for growth.

Requirements include:

  • Proven experience in an IT controls focussed position across 1st, 2nd or 3rd lines of defence.

  • Strong technical background, with an ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical business facing stakeholders.

  • Direct exposure of working with IT General Controls with a strong understanding of how to effectively imbed controls.

  • Good understanding of IT, information & cyber security standards to ensure effective control implementation (i.e., ITGC, SOC, NIST, ISO 27001/2, COBIT, and ITIL).

  • Experience of working in modern technology environments with an understanding of cloud technology is desirable.
