We are currently working with an exciting, rapidly expanding global fintech business based in Central London who are looking for a creative, confident and entrepreneurial Internal Communications Manager to join their team.

The Internal Communications Manager will act as an ambassador for excellent communication and change, understanding cultural sensitivities and ways of working to deliver innovative and engaging content to strengthen employee understanding, build awareness and confidence in their corporate messaging. The successful candidate will advocate for new platforms and ways of sharing information and will contribute to the success of their business leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver inspiring and creative communications that will drive employee engagement and productivity
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and execute a robust and innovative internal communications strategy, aligned to the wider business strategy
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications including slides and presentations, emails, social media, videos and regular news updates
  • Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
  • Liaise with site managers in global offices in order to ensure consistent messaging
  • Responsible for the management and content of the intranet site

EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

  • Creative ability to devise communication strategies and unique, compelling and fun ways of communicating with staff
  • Excellent writing, editing, story-telling and proofreading skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work effectively with internal teams, as well as senior managers
  • Confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A BA in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing is an advantage

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of working in an internal comms team in a global company
  • Knowledge of creating and executing a communications strategy
