Interim Marketing Director - Initial 4 Month Contract (view to extend)

Our London based client are currently looking for an Interim Marketing Director to join their team on an initial 4 month contract, with potential view to extend. In this position you will join the team to offer marketing leadership and support the team through a pivotal scale-up and growth period, looking at how to mature the function and implement successful marketing strategies to help the company achieve it's objectives.

The right person for this hire will have team leadership experience within a scale up or growth environment, with a strong background at Head or Director of Marketing level and will be a strong blend of both strategic leader and operationally hands on or delivery focused. You will need to offer knowledge and expertise across Performance Marketing, Demand / Lead Generation and sales enablement and you must have a good understanding of marketing for subscription models, ideally for a technology platform based product. In addition to this it would be advantageous if you have a wider understanding of brand strategy and working alongside marketing events teams to ensure that any marketing campaigns are alligned and the messaging or branding is complimentary.

The successful candidate will have most of the following experience and track record;

  • Proven Marketing Leader with a strong performance marketing and lead generation background.
  • Wider understanding of brand strategy and creating cohesive marketing campaigns and messaging, as well as working well with Events marketing to ensure allignment.
  • Strong proven track record of understanding and implementing successful formulas for subscription packages and business model.
  • Led a marketing team (between 4-10 people), matured and coached a team for successful marketing and campaign delivery.
  • Implemented growth strategy and made impactful changes across marketing in a short period of time, with clear data on ROI.
  • Worked with CRO / Sales teams to define and align sales and marketing strategies.
  • Experienced content marketeer that can link content with positive business outcomes and monitor both the reach and impact of content.
  • Owned and managed complex marketing campaign plans and co-ordinated execution and monitored success
  • Setting and managing budgets, metrics and KPIs and ensure these are actively followed and used to inform planning/decisions.
  • Need to be a strategic thinker but not afraid of execution and working alongside the team to ensure the job gets done to a high standard.

For reference this position will be based on Hybrid working once things normalise, and will require some in office and some remote working.
