Interim Head of Data Governance

An interim head of data governance is required to join a global organisation for an initial 6 month contract. The role will continue to drive excellence in data governance and increase opportunities for monetising data.

Accountabilities:

Data catalogue, data policies, and security protocols
Develop enterprise approach to data governance to ensure quality and speed are optimised within products, to create the opportunity for cross-product comparability
Ensure data SMEs are established for agreed data types and products, have the right strategies and policies, and are implementing them effectively
Define standard data governance credentials for clients
Chair the data governance council
Partner with technology on the data management strategy to complement data governance strategy and goals
Develop business metrics which can be used on an ongoing basis to demonstrate ROI on data governance, particularly enterprise master and reference data.

The organisation are looking for an individual with a background in market research, publishing or marketing (or where data is the product).
