My client, a private equity backed market intelligence business is seeking an interim CIO/COO for a 12 month engagement to shape, define and deliver on a Content Management System transformation / rationalisation.

At present, the system has been organically developed, and relatively Excel heavy, so my Client is looking to bring in an experienced CIO/COO to not only create a smart solution but also drive the delivery around the technology, people and processes.

The successful candidate will be reporting directly into the CEO and his principal direct report will be Head of Operations.

Alongside leading the above Content Management Project, the successful candidate will be part of the Executive team, providing leadership and mentoring to the Operations, Product Development, Product Management teams and provide insights on process improvement, process automation and data science technologies.

The successful candidate will be required to embed professional management practises and processes across Ops and Product Development teams in terms of resource planning / allocation, project planning, KPIs, accountabilities, feedback and coaching as well as managing the companies investment prioritisation process (including chairing the monthly investment committee)

The candidate must be:-

  • MUST have extensive experience in other Market Intelligence/ Consumer Insights businesses, dealing with significant volumes of data as well as overseeing and delivery big data migrations
  • Experience dealing with outsource centres / operations teams in India
  • The successful candidate will be more than just a Technologist. The successful candidate will have extensive and proven ability Leading significant Change and Transformation Programmes across people, processes and systems
  • Technical experience in content / data process design, process automation and data science
  • Ability to influence broad range of stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to get stuck in, hands-on
  • Coming from a similar sized business would be preferred (circa 250 heads)
