Role: Integration Specialist
Central London
£85,000 + bonus & benefits

One of the largest property owners in the UK, with a £3 billion asset portfolio, is seeking an Integration Specialist to become the sole and most senior point of contact within the firm with regards to the application and system integration. A successful candidate will contribute to the solution design, technical integration, and life cycle management of applications as part of the overall solutions architecture or via the lifecycle management process. You will play the role of the liaison between various internal stakeholders and the 3rd party vendors, as well as provide support as required.

This role will be an active 'hands-on' position and the role holder will assume responsibility as main point of contact for the MS Azure Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), which all system integration passes through and contains the required rules, logic and transformation mapping tables. The Integration Specialist will proactively monitor the ESB Dashboard to identify any failures that need to be investigated, preferably before the business is impacted.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality operational and technical application and systems support to internal business functions
  • Own the documentation relating to integration, including designs and mapping rules
  • Contribute to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes that impact integration
  • Maintain application monitoring, performance tuning and testing
  • Provide 2nd line Application Support on ESB
  • Provide input to administering and maintaining all production and internal environments within our MS Azure Cloud
  • Provide technical direction and vision for integration strategy, using Microsoft technologies, focusing on Azure cloud offering
  • Work with the Solution Architect to create, design and enhance architectural building blocks and roadmap for integration technologies and solutions
  • Act as a technical resource for internal and external projects relating to integration
  • Ensure incidents and problems are up-to-date (associated documentation and the Incident Management System)
  • Ensure all technical and non-technical documentation is up-to-date

Must have's:

  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Experience in working with MS Azure Cloud Services
  • Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server technologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Azure technologies
  • Knowledge of Design patterns/enterprise integration patterns
  • Knowledge of SOA, web services (REST and SOAP), OO, Middleware
  • Proven experience of designing and creating secure integration components / solutions within the Microsoft applications development framework using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Problem/Incident Management end-to-end process
  • Extensive problem solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with working in an ITIL environment and/or a DevOps environment
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders and software vendors to resolve issues
