Role: Infrastructure Platforms Manager
Location: London/Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)
Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The position:

We are undergoing a significant transformation of our IT infrastructure, consolidating our Data Centre, Server Management, and Networking teams into a single Infrastructure Platforms team. This newly formed team will be responsible for our Azure platform and workloads, as well as our switching, SD-WAN, SASE, and cloud networking layers.

As part of this transformation, we are migrating from a VMware private cloud to Azure, a process currently led by a specialist migration partner. While this transition is well underway, we need an Infrastructure Platforms Lead to take ownership of the operational management of our evolving hybrid environment and to build and lead a high-performing team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a broad technical background across both networking and server/cloud infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our infrastructure is secure, performant, and well-managed, while shaping the team’s structure, processes, and service management approach.

Experience needed:

  • Experience leading an infrastructure, networking, or platform operations team, ideally in an enterprise or multi-site environment.
  • A strong hybrid skill set across networking and server/cloud infrastructure, with expertise in at least one and familiarity with the other.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure infrastructure services, including networking, IaaS, PaaS, and security best practices.
  • Experience with network architecture & operations, including SD-WAN, SASE, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking models.
  • Strong understanding of service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, Site Reliability Engineering) and experience implementing monitoring, incident response, and operational best practices.
  • A pragmatic, problem-solving mindset, with experience navigating complex transformations.
