Infrastructure Manager

Role: Infrastructure Manager
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Benefits
Location: London (1-2 days remote)

The Position:

The role is responsible for delivering services across all of my client's sites globally, including head offices, warehouses, remote offices, and stores.

You will play a key part in the delivery of a comprehensive roadmap to consolidate and refresh the IT infrastructure, together with assuming responsibility for the proactive monitoring and support across the business.

The role requires a technology enthusiast with strong leadership, organisational, analytical and technical skills. A key part of this role is to plan and manage technology enhancements utilising internal and external resources, whilst ensuring stability of current systems.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role as you will act as a technical lead across IT projects and act as a point of escalation for technical issues.

Key Highlights of the role;

    1. VMWARE implementation and administration
    2. Backup solution implementation and Disaster Recovery planning experience (building a plan)
    3. Consolidation of infrastructure services (e.g. migrating servers to other datacentres)
    4. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills - experience working in complex infrastructures
    5. Project delivery

Skills & Responsibility:

Skills and Experience

  • Leadership and/or management of an Infrastructure function
  • Experience working in an ITIL framework, with an emphasis on Incident and Change Management.
  • Experience managing and administering on-premise VMWARE Server based Infrastructure.
  • Experience migrating infrastructure services to Azure.
  • Network design and support/management including experience with routing, switching and VLAN / VPN configuration.
  • Experience managing and configuring Backup Infrastructure and Disaster recovery plans.
  • Knowledge Office365.
  • A strong understanding of Infrastructure Security best practice, with exposure to the PCI-DSS standard.
  • Good understanding of management principles & practice including team development and performance management.
  • Project Management of IT infrastructure projects.
  • Highly proficient in producing technical documentation and presenting management information on performance of the department.
  • Resilient, proactive, positive attitude and approach.
  • Strong communication skills essential.
  • Experience working within Retail, Hospitality, Leisure or multi-site organisations.
