Role: Infrastructure Delivery Engineer
Salary: £40,000 -£50,000
Location: York
The position & requirements:
Coming from an IT support/operations background you will have strong technical IT knowledge.
You will be familiar with Microsoft domain environments, including but not limited to Active Directory, Azure AD Hybrid environments, Office 365, Group Policy, virtual machines, and device/application management solutions. Intune and PowerShell skills would be an advantage.
You will be familiar with fundamental networking concepts, including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, subnetting, routing, VLANs, and VPNs. Firewall skills would be an advantage.
You will be familiar with common hardware and operating systems, including but not limited to desktop and laptop hardware, thin clients and thick clients, server operating systems, and storage solutions.
You will be familiar with IT security best practices and able to deliver solutions that meet required security standards.
You will be able to competently interpret site survey outputs and accurately determine IT requirements.
You will work with internal and third-party teams to ensure the correct IT equipment such as desktop PCs, switches, Wi-Fi APs are built, configured and ready for installation.
You will have good troubleshooting skills that enable you to identify requirements of unfamiliar hardware and software solutions.
You will be able to identify the key components of both domain and workgroup environments, and work with the Deployment Manager to plan site transitions into a Hybrid domain environment.
You will deliver and support transition and migration of practice domains and email systems into Microsoft 365.
