We are recruiting for a Head of Technology Delivery on a permanent basis. My client based in Manchester is a rapidly growing and forward-thinking business with a expand even further. This role will be dedicated to shaping the development function, delivering first-rate solutions whilst leveraging agile practices to maximise the value of our delivery partners both onshore and offshore. You will manage your teams, peers and external partners to provide the greatest return on investment and value to our vision and company goals. The Head of Technology Delivery is responsible for delivering complex sets of initiatives that deliver on time, scope, budget and value against an agreed set of priorities.

Desired skills and experience include but are not limited to:

  • Excellent stakeholder management, verbal & written communications skills to director and board level
  • Demonstrable & successful leadership role experience in product & project delivery
  • Strong experience in building and running offshore, nearshore and onshore delivery teams
  • Familiar with functional processes which impact the need for and scope of technology products and services including technology strategy, technology road mapping and planning, financial budgeting and forecasting, procure to pay, demand management, and capacity planning
  • Comfortable at the individual developer & QA level but builds and empowers teams rather than staying in the details
  • Ability to think critically and strategically
  • High level of expertise in customer relationship management design and implementations
  • Ability to develop an expansive professional network with other organizations, and to identify the internal and external politics that impact the work of the organization.
  • Ability to step up to conflicts, seeing them as opportunities, reading situations quickly and listening with focus.
  • Able to hammer out tough agreements and settle disputes equitably, finding common ground and gaining cooperation with minimum noise.
  • Bachelor's or Masters in Technology, Supply Chain or Accounting (or other translatable educational backgrounds relevant to the role) or equivalent.
