As Head of Sales you will be responsible for developing and implementing a communications strategy and for reaching sales targets through enhancing relationships with existing customers and new business development. You'll be working directly with the CEO to develop and implement both short term and long term sales strategies for the business, ensuring that our client provides top-notch services and builds long lasting relationships with our customers. You'll be identifying strategic market leaders to form partnerships with and developing strategies to pursue new opportunities in emerging verticals, and optimise the sales cycle for each vertical from end to end.

You should have enthusiasm and a passion for orchestration, have strong product understanding and belief and thrive on building a pipeline/closing deals.

In addition you will take part in constantly innovating their sales approach and culture through learning, innovation and sharing knowledge. You'll also work closely with the product team to improve the product through active customer feedback cycles. Our client have grown rapidly in less than two years and have delivered over 60,000 orders across London, leading sustainability in the last-mile transportation industry.

Our client are looking to disrupt the logistics industry with the ultimate goal to build a sustainable transportation network through advanced technology, innovation and cooperation whilst putting people and the planet first. They orchestrate B2B delivery processes to optimise speed, reduce costs and minimise risks.

They have huge ambitions and this is reflected in the funding postion they are now in, with a multimillion investmenet secured from carefully selected venture capitalists.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales and communication strategy to ensure efficient customer on-boarding
  • Establish and streamline the sales processes for new business develipment, and long term customer relationship management
  • Manage sales team and resources to meet sales goals within existing customer network, as well as new business development
  • Work closely with sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain training & coordination across sales network
  • Define metrics for trackign customer satisfaction
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives that could inform future product development
  • Pipeline planning and forecasting for new business development
  • Oversee the process of new custoemr on boarding
  • Support pricing strategy
  • Provide monthly and ad-hoc reports ons ales activities and sales growth potential
  • Close collaboration and ideas exchange with other Team Leads
  • Responsible for monthly blogs / LinkedIn posts capturing key success stories and learnings, and advancements in sustainable entrepreneurship

The right candidate will:

  • Understand delivery/supply chain business
  • Find ways to add value to the merchants whilst addressing their pain points
  • Passion for people, strong ability to form meaningful customer relationships
  • Have a good understanding of wholesale/retail/food/Ecommerce industry
  • Have proven experience in leading a sales team or organisation
  • Posess strong sales, marketing and communications skills - both written and verbal
  • Have proven experience in creating communication strategy and content develipment
  • Previously demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate analysis into recommendations
  • Show great numeracy and analytical skills (Pivot Tabels, Tableau, Carto E.T.C)
  • Be passionate about learining, professional development and collaboration across teams
