The Head of Mobile Development will become one of the senior technical authorities within the business and will be responsible for the timely development of all iOS, Android, UX and UI mobile solutions ensuring that they are built to be robust, scalable, maintainable and performant.

The right person will have experience in leading and growing a team of highly skilled developers, and be adept at managing developer activities/tasks on a day-to-day basis. You will be tasked with nearly doubling the team size as part of the technology management team that reports into the CTO.


  • Technical authority on key customer projects; through close collaboration with project delivery teams
  • Gather client requirements post sale, write schedules of work, and liaise with client during project delivery
  • Master, manage, and mentor a cross-functional mobile developer team during the full development cycle on iOS and Android platforms
  • Architect highly scalable video centric apps including universal logins, in-app purchases, user profiles, multi-territory support
  • Lead in house R&D projects (e.g. Android TV, Apple TV, Apple Pay, Voice Control etc.).
  • Work closely with the Founder and CTO, as well as the Sales, QA and UI/UX teams
  • Review Pull Requests, provided feedback, eliminated suboptimal coding patterns and design principles from developers' practices
  • Implement and Improve QA and testing process
  • Implement and Improve In-App reporting / analytics
  • Optional, hand-on development
  • Experience with video / broadcast apps preferred

  • Strong knowledge of iOS & Android
  • Understand how backend architecture works
  • Strong Development or UX/UI background
  • The ability to effectively listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, peers and senior managers
  • Demonstrated capability of Managing Customer Projects through to successful completion
  • Advocate of Agile development methodologies
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills, able to inspire and motive
  • Degree educated
