We are currently working with a luxury app-based start-up who are looking for a Head of Marketing with experience building iconic brands in fast growing entrepreneurial environments to join the team on a FTC.

A pivotal role to the growth and success of the brand, the successful candidate will need the drive; commercial expertise; and passion to help build an iconic and commercially successful lifestyle brand from scratch.

The candidate must be an excellent communicator and be able to lead from the front: rolling up his / her sleeves to deliver outstanding results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsibility for the brand positioning, marketing strategy and marketing budget
  • Be an ambassador for the brand inside and outside of the organisation. The successful candidate will challenge and inspire the business and the consumer
  • Ownership of customer acquisition through paid, owned and earned channels
  • Ultimate responsibility for PR, community management and CRM
  • Shared responsibility with the product team to optimise conversion across the customer acquisition funnel
  • Be the voice of the customer. Ensure all aspects of the business are informed by customer data and insight - champion the use of customer insight to inform decisions across the business
  • Work with colleagues across the business to establish the right measurement framework to ensure the impact of initiatives are fully understood
  • Oversee the development of reporting processes for the marketing team to ensure the team is equipped to provide consistent insights into the effectiveness of campaigns. These processes will determine whether further investment is prudent or not
  • Lead a culture of growth within the organisation. Nurture and encourage curiosity; innovation; continual testing and optimisation.
  • Ultimately: build and lead an exceptional marketing team to meet the needs of a growing business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience building iconic brands in fast growing environments
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate
  • Strong change management experience as well as experience overseeing significant commercial growth
  • Possesses genuine creativity. Happy to challenge conventional thinking and prepared to do things differently
  • Strong commercial and entrepreneurial instincts
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and present to stakeholders - both internal and external - of all levels across all functions
  • Commercial agility in a fast -paced environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and embraces change
  • An understanding of how a digital business uses data to continuously inform the customer experience and brand proposition
  • Highly analytical and naturally leverages customer data and insights to drive strategic brand and communications decisions
  • Track record developing innovative and cost-effective marketing campaigns
  • Experience across full media mix
  • Experience developing and implementing international marketing strategies and leading teams remotely
