Position - Head of IT Business Systems

Location - Brentford (Remote)

Salary - £90,000 - £100,000 + Bonus & Benefits

We are working with the world's leading provider of chemical cleaning & environmental solutions offering a wide range of solutions to address the needs of their diverse customer base. As a specialist mechanical parts cleaning organisation, their products productively ensure that goods and services run smoothly and economically.

Currently going through an IT transformation they are seeking a Head of IT Business Systems - Reporting to the the Group CIO, the role will see you as a key member of the IT management team, driving IT development changes and process improvements.

This is an exciting new appointment for an ambitious Head of IT Business Systems to join an international business with ambitious growth plans, backed by a leading private equity firm. The company operates across the UK, Continental Europe and Worldwide, employing over 1600 people.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in defining and refining product requirements
  • Provide architectural, technical and best practices guidance
  • Lead the Dynamics ERP/CRM implementation across the global environment
  • Conduct daily scrums, development planning and deployment reviews with the software development team
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality software on time
  • Set priorities for the team, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance
  • Continuously look for process improvements and new tools to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor the support queues to meet service level expectations
  • Ensure delivery of quality code and code review with minimal issues and bugs
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality technical specifications
  • Create and maintain a collaborative environment between members of the team.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to production systems
  • Fully adhere to change control and IT policies
  • Ensure documentation is in place for any deployment, and update when necessary
  • Coordinate root cause analysis to find and resolve ongoing software faults


Skills & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in managing delivery teams
  • Proven experience managing software development teams
  • Working knowledge with ERP systems - functional knowledge of sales, service and finance advantageous
  • Has already deployed a 365/CRM ERP or actively took part of such a project
  • Previous involvement with global projects with demonstrable leadership
  • Exposure to BI analytics tools
  • Experience with software developer languages to be able to engage with developers desirable (Microsoft Dynamics CRM and AX (X++), C# / C++, .Net, SQL skills)
  • Experience with SQL and windows reporting (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS)
  • SQL Server 2008 onwards, excellent knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers desirable
  • Source change control tools experience
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices; software tools such as DevOps
  • Analytical, a lateral thinker, excellent trouble-shooting skills with a logical approach to work
  • Able to work within a multi-cultural environment to achieve the best results for all
  • Able to respond quickly to new focus and change
  • Ability to develop relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders

This role has a hybrid working policy and comes with a generous salary up to £100,000 plus bonus & benefits.
